Location
Jackson House is located in the Upper Alton Historic District just north
of Route 140 and the Southern Illinois University Dental School. Jackson
House offers a great central location for travelers interested in the
antique shops, golfing, and riverboat gambling of Alton, the historical
and archaeological sites of Cahokia and Springfield, the scenery and picturesque
towns of the Great Mississippi River Road, and the attractions of St.
Louis. A local map showing numbered routes and
nearby streets is available.
House Tours for prospective guests are offered by appointment only. Tours may be scheduled Monday through Thursday before 7 p.m. Please call for an appointment no more than 24 hours before you would like to visit Jackson House.We are unable to show occupied units. In most cases we cannot handle group tours.

Fireplace Room $120 per night
Master Bedroom $120 per night
The Barn $165 per night
The Cave $165 per night
Reservations
Are essential. Please call ahead. We may not be able to accept reservations requested less than 24 hours before arrival. We request a deposit of one nights stay, which we will refund if a cancellation is received more than 48 hours before arrival.
Check-in between 3:00 PM and 8 P.M. Check-out by 11:00 AM.

Children
In most cases families with children under 13 will be offered accommodations
only in the guest houses.
Pets
We have limited accommodations for travelers with pets. Please let us know in advance if you would like to bring a pet to Jackson House. Jackson House has its own resident dogs who keep to themselves unless friendship is obviously welcome.
Parking
Limited off street parking is available for Jackson House guests. Please let us know if your reservation will involve parking more than one car on the property. We may not be able to accommodate larger vehicles.
Refreshments
Beverages are available and guests have use of small refrigerators in the dining room and guest houses.
Smoking is permitted on the porch, patio, and deck only.
Deliveries
The small size of our staff limits our ability to accept deliveries for guests of items such as flowers or food. |
